We’re always delighted when our customers choose ways to enhance their interior decor with custom Casart wallcoverings, and especially when they bring us their concept to visualize chartered waters with a custom navigational map!
Being avid sailors, our customers wanted a way to document their travels through the Gulf of Mexico on family expeditions. Some of which were harrowing experiences with unforeseen danger and near miss with a hurricane.
Tony decided a custom, navigational chart of the map of Gulf of Mexico would be fitting and we agree!
One issue was that the widest our material prints is 52 inches. Rather than filling the entire wall space with multiple panels of one image that would have to be aligned to match, we decided to flip the print to a landscape presentation. This printed the 52″ max width as the height of the image. Proportionately, the width became 62 inches.

The family had fun installing the map, which was simple and easy to do in no time! After measuring for placement, no extra tools were needed to simply peel, apply, stick and smooth to the wall.
Bringing the Custom Navigational Map down to meet the chair rail, helps it blend in naturally with the wall. The coloration of the map and wall work beautifully together.
