Our latest Light Rain pattern reigns supreme and plays on the popular outdoor party-string-light theme but for your indoor enjoyment. We chose compatible color combinations that lend a simultaneously modern yet classic retro feel to this design.
From Ashley, the artist: One of the reasons I created this design is that party lights should be accessible to everyone. They are so joyful and create a magical mood in a backyard. Not everyone has a backyard so why not be able to bring them inside to create the magic indoors? The vintage style of the actual lights lend themselves perfectly to a retro pattern. The expected way of draping the wires horizontally to give the appearance of “strung” lights was converted to non-traditional, vertical presentation because a wavy pattern could still be achieved by careful placement of the lights themselves. This gives a more organic, natural feel rather than being contrived. Another benefit, the vertical nature of the lines could help add visual height to walls, which is always appreciated in small spaces.
