Yes, our customers are creative!
Shivani wanted to use the popular Kristin Nicholas Garden of Family Farm Life mural that Kristin exclusively created for Casart Coverings! However, her concept was non-traditional. She was helping her sister design her dining room interior and wanted to use the mural on the ceiling.
We were happy to help! We love unconventional and have often touted the ceiling as the often-overlooked “sixth wall” for interior decoration.
We worked with Shivani to customize the size of the mural to fit and cover the ceiling space with three panels. Since our panels are wider than traditional wallpaper — at 52 inches wide — they cover more spatial width with less covering. The caveat is that the ceiling is not an easy place to install in any scenario, so Shivani thought it best to have a professional install.
We can happily say that although it’s not necessary to have a professional wallpaper install our wallcoverings — especially on vertical walls, but if you do, the installer will appreciate it because there is less time to install, no mess or necessary permanency if you want to change or remove the wallcovering. You should also reap the reward of any discount they can provide in the installation due to these features. Essentially, peeling and sticking a wallpaper is a heck of a lot easier and less of a neck and back breaker than installing with traditional glue and paste. The less time anyone can be up on a ladder, the better.
The first step before installation was to approve a custom printed sample.

Getting the strike-off print proof was an essential part of the Custom Process, as we were able to amend the color slightly.

Here’s the full 3-panel mural.

Although Shivani didn’t have before pictures to send, we love the ones she sent of the final result! What a sumptuous room with deep peacock-blue walls that are a perfect pairing with the bold pumpkin-sunset color of Kristin’s design.
Along with the ceiling mural that creates a unique focal point, this after pic in particular shows how modern-vintage accessories and important family memorabilia can work to personalize a space.

We imagine the mural brings lots of dinner conversation as well as gratifying glances upward.
We commend Shivani and her thinking out of the 4-wall box approach!
Many thanks for sharing!
