Custom Artwork Stair Mural Gets Rave Reviews

We always get excited when customers have the creative vision but even more so when they want to use Casart coverings to reproduce their own artwork for decorative purposes.

We were happy to comply and help our artist customer Ginger Sluder print her beautiful painting of a heron with koi as a custom project.

Now our customer’s custom artwork stair mural gets rave reviews from all who see it!

We asked her about the background for her project:

My inspiration for the painting is the koi pond I have in my back yard. I just love it and it is filled with about 20 large beautiful koi. Periodically, a giant heron shows up hoping to feed on the fish but so far, he has had no luck! I also have many awesome little frogs that hang out in the pond as well. I just wanted to include something in the home that was bright, beautiful and personal without actually painting a mural on the walls or stair risers.

We provided this custom sample so she could see and approve the work prior to printing full scale.

Once she approved, the printing proceeded and once received, Ginger did the installation herself.

She emailed back, “I did it! It looks great! Thank you.”

I am very happy with the results of my project with Casart Coverings. I had a vision for a mural that I wanted painted on my stair risers leading to our newly finished basement, but I didn’t want to get on my hands and knees to paint it. So, I painted a picture of a koi pond with a blue heron and they were able to make a wall covering out of it. [..The wall covering material is very forgiving… ] I easily cut the material and applied it to the risers of the stairs. Now, if I get tired of it or want to sell the house, I can easily remove it without permanently affecting the stairs! It’s really a great solution for this type of space. So far, everyone who has seen it has been pretty amazed at how it turned out! I was afraid the intense colors of the fish wouldn’t print well but all of the colors turned out very true to the original. I am very happy with my experience!!

In fact, Ginger was so pleased with her experience that she’s offered to paint murals for others and print as Casart wallcoverings, “I would love to create more of these paintings for others to use as well and now that I have done it once.” She doesn’t have a website yet, but please let us know if you might be interested so we can put you in touch with this talented artist.
