You’ll see when looking up at ceilings that they are often overlooked for decoration. Casart self-adhesive, repositionable wallpaper can be used as decorative art on ceilings, especially when surrounded with a border.
In the example below, molding was first attached to the ceiling to create three graduated borders. Then, the space between them was filled with wallpaper. This is an easier task if using Casart peel and stick wallpaper instead of traditional wallpaper, which is an important consideration when standing on a ladder looking up at the ceiling for any length of time!
This treatment could be used in the living room, study, dining room or a bedroom. The size of the room and the effect you want determines how many borders are created. If using this technique in a dining room, the outside dimensions of your design should be 3-5 inches smaller than the perimeter of your table. Applying the darkest color to the center area will make the area recede, with a visual effect of creating height. Placing the lightest color in the center will make the room appear more intimate.
Picture Casart temporary wallpaper being used instead of wallpaper in an infinite combination of designs that we currently have on our Casart Covering website. Faux linen or Colorwash (Wallfinishes removable wallpaper) for example paired with leaves (Botanicals repositionable wallpaper) and other pattern reusable wallpaper, coming this fall.
Consider looking up at ceilings with this conceptual image below using a block design as a ceiling template to fit into the image above. This concept shows how design dilemmas can be easily and conveniently solved with Casart press and apply wallpaper added to a ceiling.
