Summer is here and I’m seeing lightning bugs or fireflies flashing all over. As a kid I always thought they were magical and was sad to see them go when the summer ended. I was glad to see an article on them in the Washington Post recently, describing how they have different kinds of flashing patterns particular to certain species, which can be decoded.
Coincidentally enough, we have a new mural-like, decorative wall covering pattern to offer based on fireflies. It will be on our Casart Coverings website for purchase this fall. This way, the magic of fireflies can last or it can be a summer slipcover for your wall. Here’s a thumbnail. In actuality the blue is more ultramarine. However, we’ll show it in multiple versions and it can always be customized.
This could be a posting for my Art is Everywhere blog because I often write about where my creative inspiration comes from and that of others.
