Today is the day when most of us in America sit down to a table, hopefully with those whom we hold dear, and give thanks for our blessings. We really should do that every day of the year.
I’m thankful for family and friends
I’m thankful for a comfortable home: warm in winter, cool in summer and always dry.
I’m thankful for ample nourishment every day. I never go to sleep at night hungry.
I’m thankful for clean water to drink, to bathe, to wash dishes and clothes.
I’m thankful that I live in a country where I am free to voice my opinion without retaliation or retribution.
I’m thankful that I enjoy good health and access to care when I need it.
I’m thankful for access to media and other means of communication to know what is happening in other parts of the world. I am not isolated.
What are you thankful for?
Last year I did a post on Charity: water.
Here’s an update on their current project in Cambodia. I was in Cambodia last February. It’s one of the poorest countries I’ve ever visited.

The best gift you can give this holiday season is wrapped in concrete, filled with sand and runs on bacteria-a bio sand filter to provide clean water.
Happy Thanksgiving by giving thanks.
