We are tickled pink to be providing Mary Douglas Drysdale’s Signature Color Lipstick Plus in Faux Linen for her designer room at the Antiques In Alexandria Show which opens tomorrow.

This is the 17th annual show which benefits 3 organizations:
- The Twig which raises funds for Inova Alexandria Hospital
- The Lyceum Company which raises funds for Alexandria’s History Museum
- The Alexandria Association will use funds raised to support research and conservation projects for Alexandria’s historical properties

Tonight, you can be one of the first to view the antique furniture, silver, porcelain, paintings, jewelry, rugs, and more from the Show’s 36 nationally recognized exhibitors while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, a buffet, and an open bar.
On Friday, March 8, from 6 to 9 p.m., listen to the swingin’ sounds of the 1920s, while sampling sophisticated cocktails at a speakeasy called Sam’s. But you’ll have to know the password to be admitted!

During the show revisit fashion of the ‘20s, when rich fabrics, ornate embellishments, and unexpected detailing were the name of the game. See razzle-dazzle, knock your socks off glamour at the 1920 Vintage Fashion Loan Exhibition.
On Saturday, have brunch with Mary Douglas Drysdale, an American design icon, and hear her discuss her varied projects. Mary is known for her use of color, incorporation of architectural elements, and mix of antiques with new for crisp, elegant, timeless design. Her work has garnered more than 60 magazine covers, and resulted in her being named one of House Beautiful’s “Top 100,” selected as one of the top 10 design professionals working on old homes by This Old House, and honored for her innovation in traditional style by Traditional Home.
Three very talented designers — Mary Douglas Drysdale, Barbara Lee, and Stuart Nordin –– are all designing rooms at the 2013 show using treasures on loan from the show’s exhibitors and others to showcase a blend of antiques and contemporary design which will inspire you to have an elegant and timeless interior for your own home.
Add to the above designer and dealer chats, a guided show tour, a Potomac Co. appraisal clinic, and a silent auction and you have a very full weekend!
