It’s summertime, so I went to the mall where it was cool and spied these J. Crew windows which made me hot and thirsty.
Time for a snowball. Yes, that’s what we call them in the Big Easy; not snow cones. Better still, load up the SUV and head out of town.
Whoa! If that’s what it looks like loaded, you’re taking everything but the kitchen sink and I’m not going with you. Let’s blow a wad and fly with just a carry-on, please.
If you’re going to DC and you can stand the heat, check into the new Hotel Rouge, near Dupont Circle where you’ll see their signature color (red) and all that it represents: “Passion, courage, energy, and fun.” And HOT!
If you’re there on business that calls for courage and energy, you’ll have no trouble staying alert in either the Red Hot, Lava, or Blush meeting rooms.

Ready to cool down? Let’s head to the south of France to the Grand Hotel de Bordeaux to unwind in their spa. Wow, they’ve done a major renovation since I was there last!

Once you’re massaged and relaxed, head off to the elegant dining room for un diner.
Ooh la la! Look at the chandeliers, the ceiling mural, the opulence! Don’t look at l’addition!
