- Consider mixing light and dark colors. While using bright colors can give the room a warm and inviting feel, they can also overwhelm a room and even make a room seem a little childish. But a mix of light and dark colors can actually make the room feel more elegant and put together. In other words, more mature.
For example, take a look at this dining room/ living area by Danielle Colding and notice how the mix of dark and light colors creates a beautiful look.
In addition, notice how this bedroom designed by Jenna Peffley is not only fun but elegant thanks to her mix of colors.
It is clear that dark and light colors and perfect for each other. And if done right, it can complement a room and completely transform it. To learn more on this topic, take a look at this Casart blog dedicated to why dark colors are a good choice.
