Everything is coming up green!! Green shoots are sprouting from what appears to be early spring weather and green is the scene in interior design. House Beautiful devoted their entire March issue to green and not so much the environmental aspect, which is a fresh change. St. Patty’s Day is right around the corner and we are offering some green for some green. Post your green pics on your Facebook page and tag us so we can see!! (see details below)

There are a lot of dogeared pages in this issue, but my favorite green, besides the outdoor landscapes (all secret garden type) were the vignettes with deep but bright, unexpected green hues. Meg Braff’s teal green chair and painted chest to match are cheerful and stunning.
She happens to have a lovely line of traditionally applied wallpaper and fabrics with modernized mid-century designs, some of which I recall from homes I visited in my youth. They have all come back in style.

Fawn Galli has unconventional pairings for furniture and accessories but I like best her beautiful choice of Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Jordan’s sofa covered in Designer’s Guild Varese cotton velvet that just shimmers in various hues of gorgeous peacock teal. I have to say that I could sit and watch her Inspiration page slideshow all day, if I didn’t have so much work to do. It is quite inspirational and even has a few things pinned that I’ve shown on my other Art Is Everywhere blog.

This mixture of teal + blue + green hues reminds me of this inspirational watery image that I’ve saved of blue-green glass tile from Ann Sacks. Blue and green is one of my favorite color combinations.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to report on the upcoming House Beautiful “Green Event” at Room & Board – -until I attend later this week. ‘Til then, we want to see your inspirational green room photos. We’ll do a random drawing at the end of the month for a $25 Amazon.com giveaway or Casart gift certificate prize — your choice. You do not need to use wallpaper to win!! Get busy posting your green for green. You may get ‘O Luck ‘O the Irish lucky!

Here’s just a sampling of our inspirational Green Casart = custom • designer • removable and reusable (reyclable – not disposable) • wallcovering.

Here are some figurative versions that perhaps you have not noticed in quite this way:

And some of our newer patterns:

Don’t forget about our Photography or designs that support Gulf Coast Recovery, as well as our designers Mary Douglas Drysdale and Karen Robertson Collection Signature Colors….There is such a bounty of green here from which to choose!
Now show us yours!
Happy early St. Patrick’s Day!
