I hear the locusts every evening now and this immediately makes me think of summer but I also think of heat, the 4Th of July (right around the corner) and fireflies, among other things.
At Casart coverings, we’ve thought of a great way to actually see summer with our Firefly Design. It progresses from the course of the day from morning through night, when you’re most likely to see active fireflies and catch them in a jar, like some of us remembering doing as kids. Here are snippets below of each of the colors from this design. You can see the full scale image if you click on the Firefly or photo link.
I absolutely love this photo that my friend Stephen Alvarez took to capture this delightful moment, of his daughter catching fireflies. To me, this image captures childhood innocence that is transcendent of time. Wonder is a perfect name. He had it as the initial header image of his blog. My younger son, Jackson, was fortunate enough to have takes some independent instruction from Stephen. He’s a wonderful photographer, who happens to go on assignment for National Geographic.
Here’s an example of how our Fireflies can transform a room. This design is part of our t3 line (tots, tweens an teens), which includes some growth charts that we recently added. This design can certainly last the duration of early childhood and into adolescence. Enjoy these before and after shots of a little girl’s room that were sent in.
Here’s what it might look like in a conceptual space.
Since Fourth of July is coming up, here are a couple things to keep in mind for your patriotic celebration.
1) Our Starfish Design can be paired with other colors and configured, not only as a pattern, as mentioned previously, but as stair risers. We don’t have this up on our website just quite yet but please contact us if you are interested or want a custom color.
2) We have just added these 3D stars to our Architectural Finishes page, as well as the Flower Power design mentioned previously, onto our Botanicals page. We took your suggestions, by the way (many thanks for voting on our poll), and incorporated the colors that you liked best as well as some other samplings in a light and colored palettes.
3) And a little something to help you with your purchase or as a gift for someone else.
Hope you have a Happy 4th of July Birthday Celebration!
