I was glad to wander upon this quick video of DC’s Design House,
which was recently renovated and decorated by 29 designers and design firms.
The proceeds benefit Children’s National Health System.
We recently had a personal medical experience with our youngest adult son’s surgery regarding an issue he has had since childhood.
Although Children’s is a large facility and you can easily feel like a number in comparison to smaller medical hospitals, it was very impressive. We had state of the art care and felt like we were in good hands throughout.
My personal favorite was how Joanne Fitzgerald of Gatéga Interior Design not only used dramatic wallpaper in a small space,
as did Camille Saum throughout the entry (3 stories high), but Fitzgerald
turned strip mosaic tile on the vertical to surprise the senses at the sink in a small bathroom.
What an innovated way to use!
The DC Design House is open for a month for public viewing and benefiting this worthy cause through May 13.
