While enjoying this Presidents Day, I’m thinking of an exotic bamboo wood finish that caught my attention after my last post on Zebrawood. It happens to be Crate & Barrel’s new line of Bamboo Bath Accessories.

In fact, they have quite an assortment of Bamboo items.

This wood finish reminds me a lot of Zebrawood with it’s striation but it is more blonde in color. I may add this to my list of decorative, faux-finishes to paint. That list is getting pretty long but among our exotic wallcovering wood finishes besides, Satinwood that we already have, others might include the following.
(Note: I got a bit carried away when I saw the countless examples of exotic wood choices mentioned that I just had to show some of the many examples beyond just a weblink. Hobbit House, Inc. is one of the best visual wood reference sites because it prides itself on showing the actual color and grain of the wood with all the factual references. It’s an ongoing investigation of sorts with the author collecting as much information as possible, so if you have some, please send. I use this site for faux finishing accuracy. If you like wood, you’ll be in timber heaven):
Before I leave you thinking about all these choices, here are some pieces made with exotic woods to consider from Lyring.com.

Nothing like an Exotic Wood Tub from Timber Tub Designs via Lyring.com — maybe to relax in on this Presidents Day holiday.
