Have you ever wondered how you can enjoy the pleasures of your most recent beach vacation back home? Well you can.
Β Here are 3 simple ways to bring the beach back home or in any indoor setting.
No. One – Shell Crafts
So you’re back from the beach and have a huge shell collection. Now, what do you do with all those shells?
Here’s a crafty way to make decorative use of them and bring the beach back with you.
Assort the shells in piles by type. Make sure you have lots of space to spread out.
The small and various size scallop shells in the far left corner can be used to make this decorative shell-ball accessory that can also serve as a paper weight but more importantly, it is just pleasing to look at. It also uses a lot of shells.
Purchase a small styrofoam flat wreath and hot-glue the remaining shells onto it in a way that is visually appealing and allows the more prominent and different kinds of shells so they can be seen and highlighted. This can be hung on your front door to remind you and others of fond memories of the beach even when you’re not there.
You can even create air plants that look like jelly fish with dome-shape, top-shells. They house the air plants that you just mist to keep alive.

No. 2 – Use Your Photos
Other ways to bottle that serene beach feeling and keep it going throughout the year are keeping your photos up front and center by putting them onto a digital photo frame so they can rotate and you can continue to see them daily.
You can also turn some of your favorite photos into artwork via apps on your phone or your computer. This Prisma phone app turned a great kayak photo into something truly artworthy and frameable.
When things get busy this fall, recall the peace and the calm of the beach and you’ll find some meditative power to refresh your energy.

No. 3 – Create a Beach Environment
Wrap your walls in seascapes with decorative wallpaper that reminds you of your vacation.
You can upload your own photos or artwork and customize for stair risers.
And if you’re still pining for the beach after summer has unofficially ended, we have beach scenes…

…as well as starfish patterned designs.
Or a Koi Fish pattern or Koi Fish Pond mural.
You can even line a bookcase or treat your cabinet fronts with Faux Tortoiseshell.
Creating these spaces can be just as fun as enjoying them afterwards.
