I know I’m not blue but who’s blue? The Saints won the Super Bowl so I, along with lots of other folks am still on cloud nine! But…the March issue of House Beautiful is all about blue-powder, denim, sky, teal, midnight, cerulean, navy, turquoise, cornflower, periwinkle, royal opal. Have I left any out?
Editor Stephen Drucker says he’s always wanted to do an issue about just one color. He says blue is the color people associate with House Beautiful. It’s the most popular of all colors, a color full of good feelings and often prone to obsession. His only blue obsession is the shop of autograph dealer Frederic Castaing on the rue Jacob in Paris. The walls are painted in a blue close to that of the Tiffany box made famous by his mother, Madeleine Castaing. Shop tables are covered in a clashing royal blue felt. There is a wonderful entry about the shop with lots of pictures on the blog Little Augury. Blue is my favorite color and I’d love to live next to the ocean, but I don’t think that could be classified as an obsession. There are so many articles on blue interiors in the March issue that you’ll just have to browse it yourself. Here are a few of my favorite blues in the Casart repositionable wallcovering line. Here’s our who’s blue lineup:
- Faux Linen Lapis removable wallpaper
- Artichaut mural
- Colorwash Light Blue reusable wallaper
- Casart Blue Knight Growth Chart
- Faux Padded Headboard in Light Blue
- Faux Bois in Teal
- Faux Tile Stair Risers Cabo Blue
- Faux Lattice temporary wallpaper
