We found the answer for what they are saying about wallpaper through House Beautiful magazine, which presented the Next Wave of designers for the first time in five years. For the December issue HB editors picked 20 interior designers as the ones to watch. Here’s what some said about wallpaper.
Make a decoration prediction – Wallpaper is back in a huge way and I think we will begin to see some amazing textures being used, unlike anything we have seen before. Sometimes people don’t think past the paint on a wall, but walls are a chance to make a huge impact in a room.
What’s the most inspiring thing you’ve seen lately? – Wallpaper is amazing right now. There are so many beautiful textures, from lacquer and silk to mother-of-pearl. I am using it on everything, including kitchen cabinets.
What’s new about you? – I am obsessed with wallpaper. It brings immediate warmth and personality to a room. I’ve been installing it in foyers, kitchens, living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, and powder rooms.

I think wallpaper is just fabulous and really does make a house into a home. Also, it is about time some designers used it as many only know how to paint color on a wall….so boring. Wallpaper adds another dimension to an interior and home.
