If you didn’t know, I attended The American School In Switzerland, a private Swiss boarding school. Over this past weekend I went to an all class reunion at the Hay Adams Hotel, for anyone who has ever graduated from my high school. It was an interesting experience being the youngest person there, but it was a great opportunity for networking within D.C. At this event, I was lucky enough to meet one of the top interior designers in Washington, Rachel Dougan. Rachel Dougan is the founder and principal designer of ViVi Interiors.
Her firm is a full service interior design studio. Depending on the needs and scope of a clients project, they can help from start to finish, or anywhere in between. Rachel offers three services, color consultation, fluff and buff, and the kit and caboodle. She takes the art of color and turns it into a science with her color consultation, while her other services offer partial remodel and full design. She strives for a room to bring out the personality and lifestyle of each individual client she serves. Rachel personally describes her mission as:
“Bringing out the beauty, vitality and vibrance of each individual’s home–this is what I love to do. This is what ViVi is about.”
Rachel Dougan uses a full range of interior design techniques that has created a multitude of stunning views. We decided to highlight a few examples of her work that are similar to some Casart coverings designs.
As you probably know, Casart coverings newest line is The Cloud Collection. This line features three types of clouds, with one as a ceiling covering. Rachel Dougan’s work on this waterfront bedroom mirrors our use of clouds in design.
Our next example comes from ViVi Interiors same project on the Waterfront house, in a similar color scheme but completely different design. This design features a string of elegant flower wallpaper, which gives the bathroom a beautiful and natural look.
Dougan’s decoration reminds us of our Flower Power line, in 16 different colorways, almost every color imaginable. With all of these options, consumers can use The Flower Power design to fit any of their interior decoration needs.
I had a lovely time talking to Rachel Dougan over this past weekend. She is an extremely nice and charismatic woman with great interior design skills. I really enjoy the work she has done so far, and am looking forward to what she comes up with next!
