You’ll see splatter everywhere because it’s back in style!
What a fun way to decorate. Famed artist, Jackson Pollack, was known for his abstract art and laying down huge canvas pieces, splattering paint everywhere. First there was his color phase, then black and white and then back to color.

This Harry Hinson print, featured in House Beautiful August 2008 issue, used in his own East Hamptons house shows us just how fun, yet elegant using this speckled design can be.

Designer Tom Sheerer incorporated splattering into another Hamptons house featured in the same issue of House Beautiful. Very cool!

So, use the above design ideas to simplify things a bit and create the look with less mess or hassle with a Casart temporary wallpaper from our t3 (tots, tweens teens) line. Here is just a sampling of colorways but there are many more on our site.

this isn’t about Splatter, so forgive the digression, but I must mention how much I like/love your Medieval Knight and Princess Growth Charts for children. I have never seen anything like these and think they are incredibly creative. I would think that children AND adults would just LOVE these and they would make a beautiful addition to their rooms. What a delightful and refreshing change to the typical “eyesore” of the “overblown” ruler with the ugly pencil marks in the corner of the room! BRAVO to this original, creative and absolutely NEW idea. Too bad you don’t make a “doggie growth chart” for those of us who don’t have children!
I really like your “SPLATTER” design for CASART Wall Coverings. It is a very sophisticated, but, yet, a youthful way to design your Tot or Teen’s room. Heck, it would work wonders in any number of rooms, including a wall in an adult’s room who is a collector of modern art. I could see this as a play on play of art on art, so to say! I would think that this would be an easy wall covering with which to work, the colors are easy to work with, bright and “punchy”…. great idea. Very “right on trend” for what is happening now in home trends AND fashion!
Great post! OK, I’m biased but I loved how you tied in Jackson Pollack with the splatter. Very artsy and decorative.
