Remember the phrase, “One Ringy Dingy, Two Ringy Dingy?” Lilly Tomlin made us laugh each week as Ernestine the persnickety (now there’s a word I bet you don’t hear often) telephone operator. This post title is my way of calling to your attention that this is your last opportunity to let us know which designs you would like included in the Gulf Coast mural. So, let us hear from you by making your selections at this link.

The people of the Gulf Coast are resilient and tenacious. We adapt and cope. We did it after Katrina and we are doing it again after the oil spill. But what about the sea life and birds that make this their home? We created our Gulf Coast Mural to raise awareness of their plight and the possibility that their deteriorating marshland environment may be further affected and lost to our way of life and culture. 10% of proceeds from all of our designs (through September) and these featured individual panels that can create the Gulf Coast mural or be purchased separately will be donated to your choice of one of the following organizations. Both organizations have over 10 – 20 years or more experience with ongoing restoration, rehabilitation and endangered wildlife efforts for coastal Louisiana: Louisiana Gulf Response and Louisiana Wildlife Rehabilitators Association.
