Just read the latest newsletter from High Point Market and oh, how I wish I could be there this year. The Antique and Design Center‘s social and educational events at Market celebrate classic designs through the decades and begins with a Road Trippin’ event at 7pm on Oct. 19 in the Market Square Courtyard. Music from the ‘30s to the ‘80s, with vintage cars and furnishings from past to present will be featured. Those creative and fun guys, Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke of Madcap Cottage and Coco + Kelley founder Cassandra LaValle will suggest ways of mixing old and new to create exciting décor in a presentation titled “A Trio of Design Mixologists Shake, Stir and Pour a Cocktail of Delicious Interiors.” How’s that for a titillating title?

John and Jason look so happy in this picture, and they have a lot to be happy about as of yesterday according to FB! Congratulation, you two from Casart.
The ADC, which debuted in 2010, with its wonderful antiques, original art and unique finds has become a High Point favorite. It’s located on the ground floor of the historic Market Square, just beyond Starbucks and the Salon at the Suites. A full list of exhibitors, social events, and the popular lecture series can be found at the Antique and Design Center of High Point website.
Karen Luisana, ADC founder says, “The antiques business has changed and we can no longer compete with each other but instead have to band together to create something deliciously different.” and I believe she has done just that!
