We’re seeing some inspirational florals during the start of Cherry Blossom Festival in DC this week. Millions of people will descend upon the city to see the spectacular display at its peak. I usually don’t venture near the Tidal Basin during this time since the traffic is at a stand still. Luckily however, I was able to see a sneak peak of the show as I was driving back from visiting my son in Charlottesville this weekend. The Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom there and along the drive, they are just simply gorgeous both in pink and white with yellow puffs of forsythia in full abundance. Here are just a few pictures that I took a couple of years ago when my husband and I did make the trek into the DC crowds.
This beautiful inspirational florals, piece of art called, Flotant by Katie Martin reminds me of Cherry Blossoms. It’s made with countless styrofoam paper cups.

These flowers are truly inspirational floras as I think about and work on new designs. We already have Peonies removable wallcovering in several colors but as there is a comeback in florals, I’d like to introduce more. For the time being, we’ve introduced our new Easter Floral Gift Card.

This beautiful de Gournay wallpaper, featured in the April issue of Traditional Home, is just divine with it’s hand painted style. Of course, it is traditional wallpaper with a price and no reusability, however gorgeous. This room, designed by Melissa Warner, inspires me with its unusual pop of orange color.
Another color combination mentioned in this issue is pink and purple. The Seattle culinary expert and interior stylist, Heather Christothoulou’s daughter’s room is featured below in pink.
This makes me think of our Rose Raw Silk.

Finally, here’s a wonderful picture that my mother took of some of her prize camellias — a lovely Southern flower that just might be a new Casart design.
