This is the time of year we typically think about what we’re thankful for, with Thanksgiving and the holidays starting right around the corner. There are so many things to be thankful for but saying it — giving thanks and letting others know — is just as important as thinking it. Besides the obvious as family, I’m thankful for my partners, my mother and sister, for being active, stalwart and supportive in this venture. We’re thankful to our customers for their willingness to purchase Casart Coverings. We are indebted to the valuable feedback we’ve received from from friends, business related individuals/groups and interior designers, particularly Mary Douglas Drysdale, for their validation and positive encouragement, particularly in these tough economic times.
Another way to say thanks is with thank you cards. I was taken with the simple sophistication of the 30 different ones featured recently in House Beautiful’s November issue. I always think a hand-written card really shows the appreciation is heartfelt.
The bottom birds remind me of our Dove wallcovering mural, the bird of peace, and appropriate to mention for Thanksgiving and giving thanks.
