Casart Coverings is excited to announce the launch of their new blog look for Slipcovers for your walls, casartblog with a fluster of fireflies and fireworks!
Here’s the old look.
It needed an update to match our new website with a cleaner, more streamline look and better performance.
Although we have a slider on the main site that changes the images, we were able to create a collage of multiple images for the blog (see above) that displays a range of designs. It is also responsive and changes width based on the device on which it is being viewed.
We’re also celebrating summer with our appreciation of fireflies.
Sadly they start to disappear at summer’s end but we like to have them around all year round because they represent a child’s sense of wonder. Luckily, we can still hear those early evening cicadas and this will last for a few more weeks.
If you like fireflies, like we do, you may want to host a Firefly Party.
If you have small children, drape a firefly shower curtain over a retention rod between rooms. They can use this to put on an end-of-summer play.
Use Casart’s Firefly reusable and temporary wallpaper in the T3 Collection to set the backdrop.
Now here comes the fireworks! Simply flick glow-in-the-dark paint into mason jars and voila, instant magic!
Here are more “fairy light” options via LED and other methods.
Frankly, the lowly firefly has been way under-rated and not gotten the delight it deserves. Fortunately, Ramdi Kadi, a very talented fashion designer has launched his Lucioles Firefly Collection in 2015. It’s literally brilliant! It glows in the dark and not to mention is just jaw-dropping gorgeous! Just look at the intricacy — all hand embroidered and “fishnet” overlays.
What a show-stopper if you wore this dress at an event. Hmmm, elections are right around the corner and we’re going to need to party — either way — and wish it were 1999! đŸ˜‰
Back to the lowly firefly, or lightning bug if you prefer…
We were happy to see bugs get their due in the much touted Wonder exhibit at the Renwick. It was insect-sational!
With the end of summer comes the time to get back to work, however, we’re still enjoying vacation time and operating on a limited posting schedule.
We hope you’re enjoying your summer too!
