Despite how it may seem, Valentine’s Day decorations aren’t limited to candy hearts, paper cards and red roses. Besides, if you plan on making this holiday all about your gals, you want to create an ultra-feminine aesthetic that radiates affection and unbridled joy, not romantic passion. You can find an elegant, pink version of almost anything if you know where to look.

1. Enrich Your Space with a Pink Acrylic Tray

An acrylic tray with a pink ombre bottom gives you the best of both worlds because it is multifunctional. It can be whatever you need — a serving tray, a space for decorations or a drop spot. On Galentine’s Day, you can use it to present cosmopolitan cocktails with style. Alternatively, you could fill it with Polaroid photos to display your friends’ fondest memories.
You could even set the tray in your entryway to hold your friends’ keys and phones, allowing everyone to spend the holiday offline and in touch. However you decide to decorate with it, it will bring some extra practicality and class into your home

Fancify Your Table with a Floral Tablescape

A floral tablescape is a decorative arrangement of flowers on a tabletop. Arranging an array of white, pink and champagne-colored flowers over your table runner will instantly liven up your dining room in the most glamorous way possible.
If you think roses are overdone, use hypericum berries, snapdragons, baby’s breath or wax flowers. Incorporate the language of flowers into your decor if you want to make your girl’s day extra special — each species has a unique meaning. For instance, pink carnations symbolize gratitude and love. They’re also beautiful, long-lasting and have a light fragrance.
If you want to set up days in advance, faux flowers that resemble the real thing are your best option because they won’t wilt. The same is true if you plan on lighting candles nearby — dried foliage can pose a fire risk, so be cautious with what you choose to put on the table. A flame-resistant bouquet is the safest option.
3. Hang an Aesthetic Floral Hoop Wreath

While Valentine’s Day wreaths exist, many store-bought options are too gaudy, cheap or plain. Luckily, you can easily make an elegant version by weaving dried florals around a rose-gold ring. For a more festive touch, you could even get a heart-shaped hoop.
If you want, you could hang live plants on your door. They naturally purify the air, filtering out carbon dioxide and airborne pollutants. If you care for them properly, you can keep them up year-round instead of taking them down after celebrating Valentine’s Day with your gals.
4. Elevate Dinner with a Tasteful Table Runner

A faux linen table runner adds a dramatic, elegant touch to your dining room. It’s also easy to store and clean. Cloth made from 100% cotton is machine washable — perfect for if someone drops a chocolate-covered strawberry or spills a Dirty Shirley.
Whether you plan to arrange an elaborate tablescape or simply set out dishware, a pink table runner will bring everything together. It’s practically necessary if you plan to spend any time at the table.
5. Light Up the Room with Heart-Shaped Candles

Tapered candles are both simplistic and glamorous. However, if you want something more festive, consider a heart-shaped version. In addition to triggering a key sense with subtle fragrances, they add to your decor. If they smell as good as they look, you’ll want to keep them lit year-round.
6. Add Pink Placemats to Prettify the Dining Room

Everything is better in pink — especially on Galentine’s Day. Take it from Vogue — while it doesn’t have a gender, it still represents sisterhood and girlhood. What better way to celebrate than with custom rose-colored placemats?
Raw Silk has a professionally hand-painted faux finish meant to mimic the look of silk. However, it is actually 100% natural cotton, which is easier to care for. If you’re a fan of how it looks, feel free to keep it up after your Galentine’s Day celebration. Its design is subtle enough that future guests won’t assume it is holiday-themed.
7. Glamorize Your Ceilings with Heart Banners

Banners visually break up your room. Whether you opt for an understated pink streamer, delicate crocheted hearts or a fun garland of pom poms, you’ll add much-needed color and verticality to the empty space above you. Play with color, texture and dimensions to see which style aligns with your aesthetic and square footage.
8. Place a Balloon Arch for the Perfect Photo Op

Unless you have an air compressor lying around, setting up a balloon arch takes time. However, speaking from experience, it’s worth it. If you want a backdrop for an impromptu photo shoot with your girls, nothing is better than a wall of balloons in front of a dazzling foil fringe.
If you get balloon lettering, you could even have fun phrases like “Be My Galentine,” “Party Hearty” or “XOXO” floating behind you. So, in addition to being a beautiful decoration, this decor doubles as a practical way to make memories.
9. Charm Your Guests with Delightful Peony Coasters

Your friends will love using coasters covered in a hand-drawn art of a pink peony. Not only does it fit the theme of an elegant Galentine’s Day soiree, but it has some symbolic meaning. In this set, each coaster displays one portion of the design, effectively connecting everyone at the table in a small, meaningful way.
Your home’s atmosphere will feel more personal and artistic when you have handcrafted decorative pieces. If you don’t have artistic friends — or don’t have the time to create something yourself — a piece from a professional is always welcome.
If you need another reason to get floral coasters, know they have a calming effect. Research shows that even seeing flowers reduces stress levels, which can bring out your home’s tranquil, demure aesthetic. At the very least, it can help you keep your theme going if you opt for the floral tablescape and wreath.
10. Illuminate Your Home with Pink-Tinted Lights

Light sets the mood — and not just in a romantic sense. While there’s no substitute for natural light, you’ll want something to brighten up your space, especially if you plan on having guests over after dark. Cool white fluorescents are fine but may wash your colors out.
Instead, add to your decor with a small chandelier, pink disco ball or stained glass heart. Play with color, reflections and reflections to throw light around the room, creating dazzling visual effects throughout the day
11. Beautify Your Bathroom with a Pink-Toned Bath Mat

Whether you’re planning a day-long celebration or a simple dinner, chances are at least one of your girlfriends will need to use the restroom. Why not decorate in there, too? A floral patterned bath mat is perfect because it’s easy to switch out and instantly noticeable. It’s like having a piece of art on your floor instead of hanging on the wall.
12. Accentuate Your Dining Room with Pink Dishware

How are you setting the table? While you could use Valentine’s-day-themed paper plates, doing so may affect the aesthetic you’re going for. Instead, consider getting pink ceramic and glass. For something more subtle, try white porcelain with rose-gold cutlery. Your options are virtually endless — you’ll be able to find something that completes your vision.
