Dreams Come True: Art of the Classic Fairy Tales from the Walt Disney Studio opened at the New Orleans Museum of Art last November and will close March 14.
The New Orleans Museum of Art is the only North America venue for the exhibition. The exhibition features more than 600 rarely seen original artworks that brought fairy tales such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty to the movie screen. Themed rooms, arranged chronologically by year of release, feature artwork related to specific animated films. Short film clips accompany the artwork and illustrate how individual sketches and paintings are compiled to become a finished cinematic masterpiece. The latest feature film, The Princess and the Frog, which is set in New Orleans and was released in mid-December, is included in the exhibit. Across The Great Hall from the entrance to the museum is a grand staircase, which has been embellished for the exhibition with Cinderella’s fairy tale castle installed as a stair mural.

Of course, I immediately thought about Casart Coverings’ Woodland Stream stair mural wallpaper.

The beauty of this stair mural is that it can be removed and reused, giving you the flexibility of time and place of use. It is very durable and can be wiped clean and it beats looking at generic stair risers especially if your stairs are a focal point in your home. Dreams come true for the homeowner when using our wallcovering because it is so practical for this purpose.
