I recently read an article on Home Decoration and Real Estate about the importance of hiring an interior decorator or designer when decorating your home. The difference between designer and decorator will be explained in a future post but for now, this article has some very interesting points about the skills of decorators that cannot be overlooked or understated and how they can decorate with Casart Coverings.
The article discusses the following:
1. Interior Decorators Have a Keen Eye:
An interior decorator has a skill that many people do not, a keen eye. They have a knack for seeing both the positive and negative elements of a room and can judge what works and what doesn’t. This is a natural skill. They are able to look at a room with great attention to detail and then pull out the negative pieces while adding new pieces that accentuate the positives in the room that keep with the flow of the entire home.

2. Interior Decorators Are Good Listeners:
When people are decorating their homes they want their opinions to be heard, interior decorators are good at this. They will take into consideration their client’s input and come up with the best resolution that pleases their client while still allowing the decorator to express their decorating skills. The decorator and their client must be on the same page, so listening is key.

3. Interior Decorators are Aware of the Latest Trends:
As with any industry, the people working within an industry are usually privy to the latest information and technology within their field. The same goes for interior decorators when it comes to the latest ideas, materials, and designs. This breadth of knowledge helps them bring the perfect aspects of design to each of their customers, no matter how different each customer’s tastes may differ.

4. Interior Decorators Will Work With Your Budget:
Interior decorators can work with almost any budget. They will accommodate their client with designs that are consistent with their budgets. They serve their client on a personal level, giving multiple design options that are affordable.

5. You Get What You Paid For:
As with any longstanding service, the more experienced the worker the more expensive they will be to hire. When you hire a more established and expensive decorator you are getting a plethora of experience. Hiring someone that is less experienced does not mean they don’t have all the skills listed above but they may not have the experience of dealing with every type of customer.
Interior decorators are extremely talented people, as evidenced above. They get the ultimate satisfaction out of helping people feel more comfortable in their homes. They must be able to multitask at a very high level, keeping in consideration the latest materials and current design ideas while still molding concepts to match their client’s tastes.
After reading all of the skills that decorators must have I realized that Casart Coverings is something that can assist them in fully satisfying their clients’ needs. It is another tool at their disposal. As they use their “keen eye” and expertise to redesign a room, they can decorate with Casart to coordinate the walls within the room design. Casart Coverings can also work with a budget, as it is a state-of-the-art material and a quality product and doesn’t require a lot of space to make a big impact — even with just using Casart wallcovering on one wall.
We hope interior decorators will keep Casart Coverings in mind as another decorating device to have in their repertoire.
