Don’t you have sand, seawater, surf, seafood and remnants of a sunburn (at least for me) on your mind when you return from the beach? Although it was a relaxing holiday, artistic creations are never far from my mind.
When I saw this spotted-beach-wrap while reading my House Beautiful, I thought this not only beats my long linen shirt as a cover-up but it reminds me of our Casart Splatter removable wallpaper design. I’m thinking some versions of polka dots may be next.
There is always an inspiration lurking…This terry wrap from D. Porthault Luxury French Linens is so nice that it could be considered a summer dress to go. This site offers a lot more than just linens, by the way.

Another beach / sea-life oriented theme we have is with our Gulf Coast designs.
Each of our Gulf Coast wildlife mural images can be matched with a complementary Cotillion wallpaper color (seen below). Maybe I did this subconsciously but this and the fact that there are some Mardi Gras Cotillion colors were not planned. It has to have been a happy accident since I had my New Orleans, hometown on my mind. Here are a few pairings that you can check out our Gulf Coast Page to come up with your own. Right now all of our removable wallcoverings have 10% of the proceeds going to Gulf Coast Recovery.
Then I got to thinking that our new Cotillion designs would look great, as a fabric design on purses and other accessories. We made them reversible with our current Gulf Coast Mural images. You’ll be able to see the actual result once the prototype arrives.

There will be more on beaches later, as this was an inspirational trip but for now, it’s a beach wrap and I’ve gotta tend to that sunburn.
