Want to know the average cost to remodel your home? Houzz has a very useful guide about what are others doing with their home renovations in your area. One question to ask is it a wise investment?
These just may be some of the things that are on your mind with fall approaching but while you’re hopefully sitting on a beach or relaxing somewhere on a summer vacation, and finally have a chance to think about a home remodeling project that you’ve been putting off but need or want to do.
Houzz’s new Homeowner’s Remodeling Guide will really help you. It will take some of the guesswork out of is it worth it? I got a bid but I’m not sure if it’s too high? Who are trusted professionals in my area to help me do the work? Wouldn’t you want to go to someone with a referral rather than take a risk on not knowing, which can or can’t pay off, but that’s the gamble with home construction. The information was collected from over 100,000 homeowners.
This is just the average cost for a general remodeling project in my DC metro area but you can plug in your zip or city and get the information that directly relates to your area or your state. You can choose more specific projects and even check the going rate and project for what is nationally trending. There are also helpful guides that are specific for each project category. Most importantly, you can find professionals through Houzz’ network to help you. The products link is blank but I bet they’ll be adding that soon.
But, if you click on Room Decor and Furnishing project, this will take you to more specific product finders in the sidebar. If you click Paint and Wallcoverings under Product for the home, there we are #1 for Alexandria, VA / DC area.

Check it out while you enjoy a stress free “umbrella” drink, surfside.
One quick other note, we just finished our largest sale to date and the Casart Crew wants to thank you all for making this a surprisingly successful sale in the peak of the summer. We’re glad you all had some downtime to shop our sale and we appreciate your support!
