I’m asking myself, now what?
We recently moved and I’m just now finding things even though boxes were labeled. I stumbled across a rather large piece of glass that was originally affixed to the top of a wine crate used as a side table. The wine crate has since turned into our one and only toy bin for the children. Now what to do with the toys? If the toy doesn’t fit in the wine crate then it gets tossed!
Now what to do with the glass? The glass will now become a message board for chores for my children. I did a little research and found some great products out there to make this a pretty hip looking way to communicate with the little ones. I’ll simply frame the glass with a dark wood frame and hang on the vertical to fit my space. Check out the example below from Qb3 design.

You could go ultra “mod” and purchase a ready made glass messaging board but unfortunately this style just doesn’t fit my decor, although nice and sleek and great for offices.

You can purchase dry erase markers to use for actually writing messages but I found these cool liquid chalk markers that really make the task at hand stand out. You can purchase them through Dick Blick Art Materials and they come in all sorts of colors. Below is a comparison between dry-erase and liquid chalk.

I’ll add this little project to my “To Do” list and post when I complete.
