We are introducing a new design and new concept to decorating at Casart coverings. We know life can be busy, harried and hectic. We want to help make your home a haven — a calm rest spot from the frenetic pace surrounding us daily. We also want to make this happen as easily and with the least amount of hassle involved. We want to add pleasure to your life not pain.
We realize that many of our designs appear more traditional than contemporary, yet we also know that they can be easily paired with vintage or modern furniture to create a completely contemporary feeling. This is seen in pictures from our recent Peacock Patterns photo shoot on our new Flickr slideshow now on our Gallery page. These are designs that we introduced recently that have a new take on a vintage style with their larger scale pattern and unusual way to use Peacocks, not typically found in a damask, or a Quill, not typically positioned to create a simultaneous horizontal and vertical pattern.
We also introduced ways to use stripes that can also create a contemporary look and allow you to create the design, reposition in different colors, widths and arrangements, for as many combinations and reapplications as you would like.
Now we have Abstract Panels. These are original watercolor paintings that were inspired by modern fashion — from this dress below.
The definition for “abstract” is as follows:
1. abstract concepts: theoretical, conceptual, notional, intellectual, metaphysical, ideal, philosophical, academic; rare ideational.
2. abstract art: nonrepresentational, nonpictorial.
Typically wallpaper has a defined pattern. Our Abstract Panels are nonrepresentational of anything concrete. They are just meant to bring beauty to your environment and not add to your stress with necessary thought or visual overload. The concept is that you can mix and match them. Use individually, reverse them and combine them in any way you choose. Position them vertically or horizontally or customize by having us reverse the design or change the colors. You become the designer and can decorate your space in distinctive ways with art that becomes truly unique to your environment by how you choose to use it. You can even use our Abstract Panels as large scale decorative wallfinishes to wrap your room in art — Casart — Art for your home. I should end this post with an update and a big THANK YOU to those who voted and supported us for the Mission Small Business Grant!! Only with your help were we able to achieve and surpass our goal of obtaining 250 votes in order to qualify! In fact, you can still vote because every vote shows support. The judging starts on July 1 and the winners will be announced in September. We will keep you posted.
