Brown and Orange Can Be Challenging

It can be hard designing a room with the color palette of brown and orange.  Often these two colors can come across as drab or even make a room appear to be “cave” like.  It can be pulled off quite well if used with the right lighting, accent pieces and furniture.  Start off small and add a punch of orange with bold dining chairs.  Keep the walls white then ease into adding more bold colors if you choose.

Go a step further and add Orange window coverings to add some drama. Designer Palmer Weiss uses oranges and browns often.  She makes it look so easy.

I love her color palette.  I feel like I’m in Palm Springs or transported to an episode of Mad Men.
