With the rush of the holiday and the cold weather, I’m always looking for something that can be cheerful. I think adding bold color to your decor helps to enliven the space and breaks any winter blues and can make a nice change for the new year as well. Here are some great examples from an interior designer who I just discovered through Decorati, a site for interior designers and enthusiasts.
Michelle Jennings Wiebe offers “Modern Balance” in her design, often with bold color as described in this Decorati feature. Here are just a few of her examples from her design firm, Studio M in Tampa Florida.

Here are a few inspirational summaries from her Decorati interview. She stays ahead of the trends by looking at interior design oriented magazines, particularly for timeless design. She also reads blogs and uses social media. She uses wallpaper as well as painting accent walls. We do the same at Casart Coverings.
In fact, we have some really bold colors to introduce that we hope to get on our website soon, but here’s a sneak peak. The fact that you could use these for one wall and remove or leave up after the winter season is a pretty phenomenal and practical aspect – way more flexible than traditional wallpaper. This concept is from our neutral Birds and Birch Design for a dining room.

Here’s our neutral Birds & Birch used in some moodboards on Olioboard. I really like the colors that is paired with for this conceptual design:

If you want to use our designs to create your own Olioboard, moodboard go here.
Now, what would this neutral Birds and Birch look like if it was colored?

Our designs make this versatility and easy-to-exchange possible, so you can mix it up with Casart and add some bold colors to your winter decor. Happy celebrating something new for a Happy New Year!
