Who doesn’t like the sun? It makes us warm and feel happy and provides life force energy. Pantone’s forecast is sunny for 2012 with Solar Power being the second in their color lineup.
In my series on these selected colors, here are some examples of Solar Power yellow.
I came across Melissa Alvarado Sierra’s post, Wow-factor on Houzz and the very first picture seemed to shout solar power with great design force, plus she offers some great tips to balance out such brightness.
Kelly Porter, another Houzz contributor, shows other ways to decorate with yellow by using more muted tones, that give a monochromatic appearance, as well as pairing with other bold hues and painting the ceiling yellow.
This makes me think of Morocco and spices mixed in some exotic concoction.
But don’t take my word for it, travel there yourself.
Oh, wait, my mother did.
