Ann Alger is an American painter, potter and an award winning graphic designer. She is a seasoned art director and brand manager that enjoys collaborating with designers, writers, and creative professionals. She also loves to paint and throw pottery at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria.
On inspiration: “I love to make things; sometimes it’s more about shape than pattern, and sometimes it’s more about color. This spring and summer I’ve been inspired by nature, especially flowers. They are the epitome of pattern, shape and color!”
On her latest series Bloom: “I created Bloom for people who are passionate about their gardens. Everyone deserves a space that makes them happy year round.”
On interior design: “Follow your heart; don’t be afraid to try something new, you can always change it. Change it on a whim or by season, whatever feels right for the space and function.
