As fashion and home design layouts for spring magazines start now, these may be some color predictions you may expect to see for 2012 &#8212; driven by the color authority, Pantone.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6985\" title=\"pantone-color-predictions-2012\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pantone-color-predictions-2012.png\" alt=\"pantone-color-predictions-2012, as seen on Slipcovers for your walls, casartblog\" width=\"450\" height=\"140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pantone-color-predictions-2012.png 450w, https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/pantone-color-predictions-2012-300x93.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Going down the list below, I&#8217;m posting some of my favorite examples that caught my attention in separate posts but be sure to read Decorati&#8217;s interior design take on these colors&#8211; part 1 &amp; part 2 &#8212; before they get absorbed into Gilt:<\/p>\n<p>1) Tangerine\u00a0 <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6987 alignleft\" title=\"Tangerine\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/Tangerine.png\" alt=\"Tangerine, as seen on Slipcovers for your walls, casartblog\" width=\"72\" height=\"69\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I think I shocked my mother when I decided to paint my bedroom orange. Well, I was a rebellious teenager at the time but I&#8217;ve come to love this color and different variations of it. It has stuck with me over time as one of my favorites; I think because it leaves a lasting impression. It&#8217;s a strong color, however, and I welcome it in pops of brightness with its complementary light blue for balance as mentioned in <a title=\"Houzz\" href=\"https:\/\/www.houzz.com\/ideabooks\/766493\/list\/Orange--Still-Hot--Hot--Hot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shawn Gauthier&#8217;s Houzz post<\/a>, usin<a title=\"Tobi Fairley\" href=\"https:\/\/tobifairley.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">g Tobi Fairely&#8217;s interior design<\/a> among other examples. With everything old lately becoming new, in this case 70&#8217;s hip being hot, no wonder certain colors like orange are becoming popular again. Clove via Traditional Home 2010<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But remember, orange has been used in interiors for centuries. Think of Pompeii and Tuscan Villas with their wonderful terracotta and faded orange color walls. I&#8217;m drawn to them because of their history and Old World charm. That&#8217;s why I love this next picture.
