It&#8217;s a race against heavy winds and storm surges just miles away&#8230;.I hope whatever damage Irene leaves in her wake it will be minimal for us all and the Outer Banks, where we were due to leave for our vacation, will still be waiting.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, after all your prep and post cleanup, you can sit back now and enjoy these coastal images that may bring peace of mind in the wake of Hurricane Irene. We&#8217;ll send it out next week.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been following <a title=\"Focal Point\" href=\"https:\/\/nyclq-focalpoint.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Focal Point<\/a> blog by stylist<a title=\"Previous mention of NYCLQ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/big-bang-design\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Lynda Quintero-Davids for a while<\/a>. We love her style and her stuff on Houzz as well. In fact, she&#8217;s all over the net on <a title=\"Pinterest\" href=\"https:\/\/pinterest.com\/nyclq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pinterest<\/a> (we&#8217;ve just signed up) and many other social design networks such as Olioboard. She&#8217;s a NY stylists (hence NYC LQ) based now in Miami. I see hints of both Northern Metropolitan and Southern Hip aspects.
