{"id":6020,"date":"2011-05-06T07:00:10","date_gmt":"2011-05-06T11:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/?p=6020"},"modified":"2025-01-22T17:20:07","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T22:20:07","slug":"everything-is-coming-up-roses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/everything-is-coming-up-roses\/","title":{"rendered":"Everything Is Coming Up Roses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everything is coming up roses, for tomorrow is the 137th<a title=\"Kentucky Derby\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/#sclient=psy&amp;hl=en&amp;source=hp&amp;q=ky+derby+2011&amp;aq=1&amp;aqi=g5&amp;aql=&amp;oq=&amp;pbx=1&amp;bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&amp;fp=40d12f84dda1c17c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Kentucky Derby<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Run For The Roses is known as the Greatest Two Minutes in Sports.\u00a0 Sunday is Mother&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 This represents a double whammy for florist as the use of roses and red ones in particular will abound.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m having a Derby party tomorrow.\u00a0 It will be a small group.\u00a0 Just the DWI group of my friends (divorced, widowed and independent).\u00a0 The dress code is casual, but they must wear a hat. It&#8217;s REALLY all about the hat!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6021\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6021\" style=\"width: 432px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" juleps, beer, wine, Kentucky burgoo with crusty bread, ham and tea biscuits with Jezebel sauce, mandarin orange, grape, avocado and toasted slivered almond salad with curry dressing, and walnut-Stilton cheese salad with raspberry vinaigrette.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll finish with a dessert combination of bourbon balls and watermelon Italian ices.\u00a0 In between all the noshing, we&#8217;ll sing My Old Kentucky Home when the horses come out on the track, place a friendly bet or two and fix another julep!<\/p>\n<p>Red (for roses) is supposed to stimulate the appetite so I&#8217;ve gathered as much red as I could for the table.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6034 size-full\" title=\"derby day 2011\"
