It&#8217;s a spring thing!\u00a0 Birds start chirping, trees leaf out, flowers start blooming and while a young man&#8217;s fancy turns to thoughts of love, mine turns to thoughts of cleaning, organizing and changing out winter clothes in the closet for spring and summer ones.\u00a0 Basically, it&#8217;s work to eliminate more work!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The March issue of <em>Better Homes and Gardens<\/em> had some good organization\u00a0 and storage tips.\u00a0 First, be sure to clean clothes before putting away.\u00a0 Food, dirt, and body oil attract moths which can damage clothes.\u00a0 Avoid packing items tightly to minimize wrinkles and moisture.\u00a0 Fold with as few creases as possible.\u00a0 Cotton pillowcases used for storage keep dust and insects out while allowing the contents to breathe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Enlist family cooperation.\u00a0 Explain that less laundry time means more time for fun.\u00a0 Train all to sort their own dirty laundry and place in a <a title=\"land-of-nod-compartmented-canvas-tote\" href=\"https:\/\/www.landofnod.com\/search.aspx?query=canvas mega sorter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">compartmented canvas tote<\/a>.\u00a0 Hang a reminder on the side that encourages emptying pockets, zipping up zippers, unrolling socks, sleeves and pant cuffs.\u00a0 Clean laundry can be returned in the tote stacked by type.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5747\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5747\" style=\"width: 982px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a title=\"canvas-mega-sorter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.landofnod.com\/search.aspx?query=canvas mega sorter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5747 size-full\" title=\"compartmented laundry tote\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/compartmented-laundry-tote.jpg\" alt=\"Spring Thing cleaning on casartblog\" width=\"982\" height=\"738\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/compartmented-laundry-tote.jpg 982w, https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/compartmented-laundry-tote-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 982px) 100vw, 982px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5747\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Canvas Mega Sorter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">For added ease in putting away clean laundry, label the tops of dresser drawers.\u00a0 Labels are out of sight when the drawers are closed.\u00a0 Socks, underwear and other small articles can be placed in a mesh laundry bag to make sorting easy.\u00a0 In my family, the greatest teaching tool is to return the clean laundry to its owner in the same condition in which you received it for laundering!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Once you&#8217;ve freed up time from the laundry room, think about sprucing up the decor.\u00a0 A little bit of<a title=\"casart-coverings\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/about-removable-and-reusable-wallpaper\/removable-wallcovering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Casart wallcovering<\/a> scraps can be used on a <a title=\"casartblog-shades-of-light\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/shades-of-light\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lampshade<\/a>, a piece of <a title=\"casartblog-decorative-scrap\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/decorative-scrap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">furnitur<\/a>e, in a closet, armoir, <a title=\"casartblog-featuring-a-collection\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/featuring-a-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a bookshelf, <\/a>etc., etc.\u00a0 Where else would you use Casart besides on the wall?
