She&#8217;s also the interior designer for Marmalade Interiors, another unusual name. I&#8217;m thinking most everyone likes marmalade jam and the name connotes memories of spreading the sweet, orange-fruity concoction over warm biscuits &#8212; what a comforting a way to start the day. Marmalade brings comfort with a little zing.<\/p>\n<p>All that Thanksgiving food may still be on my mind but I&#8217;m always inspired by design that is different. This is why I was so taken with <em>Live Like You<\/em> blog and it&#8217;s tagline that says it all, &#8220;<em>Don&#8217;t Live Like Everybody. The one below is one of the most clever ones I&#8217;ve seen (besides the wallpapered closet above). When using a pattern for upholstered chairs, you can reverse the pattern to heighten interest, as seen with these two chairs upholstered below with one Kelly Wearstler fabric. Image via The Washington Post<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We&#8217;ve mentioned Jill Sorenson and Marmalade Interiors in a previous post using the second photo in this post but since that time, we are even more impressed with the social consciousness of Jill Sorenson in her effort to Knock Out Abuse Against Women and Sharing Spaces, which I was familiar with when it started through my local city&#8217;s volunteer office but I did not know at the time about the founder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We look forward to more sweet and zingy inspirations from Marmalade Interiors.
