{"id":4231,"date":"2010-09-03T07:00:28","date_gmt":"2010-09-03T11:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/?p=4231"},"modified":"2025-01-28T17:35:17","modified_gmt":"2025-01-28T22:35:17","slug":"inspiration-for-your-grand-baby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/inspiration-for-your-grand-baby\/","title":{"rendered":"Inspiration For Your Grand Baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Play on last post&#8217;s Baby Grand with Grand Baby<\/h2>\n<p>Great minds, they say think alike.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know about great minds, but mothers and daughters often think alike.\u00a0 Lindsey just did a post on nurseries Wednesday so this will be a second look at the same subject from a different perspective.\u00a0 Last Wednesday her post was titled <a title=\"Inspiration for your Baby Grand\/Slipcovers for your Walls Blog\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/?s=inspiration+for+your+baby+grand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inspiration For Your Baby Grand <\/a>so mine is a play on those words.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to have a new grand baby this November.\u00a0 Since I won&#8217;t visit until the baby has arrived, I thought it would be fun to at least dream about how I would decorate <em>his <\/em>or <em>her<\/em> room.\u00a0 Back in the dark ages when I had my children you didn&#8217;t have the option of knowing before hand whether you were having a boy or girl and Lindsey and her husband have decided to be surprised, too.\u00a0 The trend for baby rooms has gravitated away from the proverbial blue for boy and pink for girl to any other color but or neutral colors.<\/p>\n<p>Janell Beals. a working designer and the owner of Isabella &amp; Max, LLC, posted an article for Houzz titled <a title=\"Houzz-The New Look of Nurseries\" href=\"https:\/\/www.houzz.com\/ideabooks\/79319?utm_campaign=updates&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=gallery0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New Look of Nurseries. <\/a> If you visit her blog, Isabella &amp; Max Rooms, you&#8217;ll conclude that she has oodles of creative ideas and just as much patience and perseverance!\u00a0 Janell says, &#8220;If I were designing a nursery today I would start by finding inspiration from a great wallpaper. I&#8217;ve never been a huge fan of bubblegum pink or daffodil yellow as a colour scheme for the nursery. I know it&#8217;s supposed to be sweet and innocent, but these shades can make any sleep-deprived parent feel nauseous. I prefer a more mature palette that will grow with the child and not seem outdated and babyish in a few short years&#8230;Soft blues and coffee\/toffee browns are the ultimate unisex scheme.&#8221;\u00a0 She built her color design around the leafy branch patterned linen drapes.\u00a0 Playful polka dots on the chair keep the mood youthful.\u00a0\u00a0 &#8220;Grown up&#8221; furnishings like side tables, dressers and lamps in a combination of dark and light finishes guarantees that the room will grow along with the child.\u00a0 These choices won&#8217;t cost more and they will have a longer use.\u00a0 I love the way she used a 4-inch-wide band of flat stock trim about 7 feet above the floor to showcase the multi-colored alphabet letters.\u00a0 The sky blue on the upper walls and ceiling is very soothing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sh_blog_nursery_a1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4236 size-full\" title=\"sh_blog_nursery_a\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/sh_blog_nursery_a1-e1283113797648.jpg\"
