{"id":2393,"date":"2010-02-26T07:00:18","date_gmt":"2010-02-26T12:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/?p=2393"},"modified":"2025-01-22T12:27:35","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T17:27:35","slug":"walls-that-wow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/walls-that-wow\/","title":{"rendered":"Walls That Wow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are many new wall treatments that create walls that wow you without breaking the bank.\u00a0 <a title=\"Walls That Wow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Jonathan-Fongs-Walls-That-Fancy-Schmancy\/dp\/082309961X\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walls That Wow <\/a>is a terrific paperback book by designer Jonathan Fong.\u00a0 He offers creative wall treatments without painting.\u00a0 Each idea is complete with instructions, level of ease, estimated time to complete, and even recommended music to accompany the work process.\u00a0 In addition, he presents it all in an entertaining way that&#8217;s a fun read.\u00a0 In the book&#8217;s foreword, <a title=\"Kitty Bartholomew\" href=\"\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kitty Bartholomew <\/a>(who is one of my favorite designers) says of Jonathan, &#8220;He&#8217;s my kind of guy.\u00a0 He thinks outside the box.\u00a0 He&#8217;s enthusiastic.\u00a0 Passionate.\u00a0 Clever.\u00a0 He&#8217;s not formally trained, and yet he&#8217;s unbelievably creative.\u00a0 And he comes up with uniquely clever concepts with items that are available and affordable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>italicized<\/em> are excerpts from an article about wallpaper trends that I recently read and the illustrations show some design applications that are suggested.<\/p>\n<p><em>(ARA) &#8211; With families holding onto their homes for longer periods of time, more and more people are looking for ways to update and bring more style to their interior design. Wallpaper has made a comeback, and there are many new ideas and trends out there that will give your house a beautiful new look.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Creativity is key to successfully decorate with wallpaper, which doesn&#8217;t have to be relegated to the living room or kitchen. Consider trimming a door, or enhancing your closet with an artistic print. Also called peel-and-stick wall coverings, these products enhance the durability, texture and visual design of your walls with easy installation. This allows you to decorate short term for a party or a season, or try out different wallpaper patterns and colors for a long-term new look.
