If you\u2019re a bit tired of all-white bathrooms that don\u2019t spark any joy or relaxation, don\u2019t worry. You can have a perfectly practical yet interesting and unique bathroom with a few eclectic design tricks. Take a look.<\/p>\n

Watch Out with Colors<\/h3>\n

Colors are an important part of any space and they can really make or break your d\u00e9cor. While you can\u2019t just throw a few colors together and call it eclectic, you can achieve a thoughtful contrast with some mismatching. Start planning\u00a0your color palette<\/a>\u00a0by looking at your decoration. Is there are color in your design that you particularly like? Do your d\u00e9cor items match it? Keep in mind that you don\u2019t have to go all-in with ten different shades! Usually, three to four colors are more than enough.<\/p>\n

\"Watch<\/p>\n

Be Varied with Textures<\/h3>\n

Probably the best thing about eclectic design is that it gives you all the freedom you want to play with materials and textures. So, don\u2019t hesitate to go really big by mixing wood and concrete, soft and hard materials and matte and shiny finishes. Some things can be brand new while some can be repurposed and reclaimed. For instance, you can place an old, beat up wooden chair next to your brand new bathtub. Or combine a metal-framed mirror with a wooden vanity. Break up your walls with interesting shelving of different styles, levels and colors. Grab a fluffy area rug and place it on your concrete floors. All in all, don\u2019t hesitate to mix and match and your final result will certainly be unique and lovely!<\/p>\n

\"Be<\/p>\n

Add a Few Practical Yet Whimsical Elements<\/h3>\n

You want to be able to use your space without any issues, so make sure to provide your bathroom with a practical yet interesting shower. What\u2019s really popular today are ceiling-mount showerheads that provide not only interest but also give you that super relaxing shower experience \u2014 you\u2019ll feel like you\u2019re in a rainforest in the light summer rain even though you\u2019re actually in the middle of New York or Sydney! Accompany it with a circular shower enclosure and you\u2019ll have a perfect combo of practicality and style. Sure, an eclectic bathroom doesn\u2019t need to be perfectly designed, however, there are things that require perfection like your plumbing. If you need some help with your blocked drains<\/a>, don\u2019t hesitate to call experts that will handle everything that stands between you and your perfectly eclectic bathroom!<\/p>\n

\"Add<\/p>\n

Add Some Plants to the Mix<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re used to seeing plants in the living room or bedroom, why not mix things up and introduce a few planters in your bathroom? Today, you can never have too much greenery! So, grab an interesting plant container and choose a plant that will thrive in humid and darker environments<\/a>. For instance, types like bamboo, aloe vera and snake plant love these low-light, high-humidity places and will fill your space with not only some extra interest but also fresh oxygen!<\/p>\n

\"Add<\/p>\n

Accessories Add the Personality<\/h3>\n

Accessories<\/a> are what make an eclectic space shine! True eclectic items can\u2019t really be purchased at IKEA, so make sure to hit yard sales, antique stores and even your grandma\u2019s house and borrow some interesting things. If you have some family heirlooms or inside jokes that run in your family, those items will work perfectly. Think something cute, thoughtful and a bit kooky \u2014 a Buddha statue you got from your trip to Vietnam next to a novelty rubber ducky seems about right! Or opt for a glamorous glitter or other decorative shower curtain surrounded by wooden accessories.<\/p>\n
