In some cases paint is the easiest way to do a makeover but let’s look at these examples.<\/p>\n

Which looks larger, plain or painted with a diagonal check (harlequin) pattern?<\/p>\n

The pattern creates the illusion of added width and length.<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span> Although a lot of effort to measure, tape and paint, yes, most definitely! Painting makes a huge transformation that is more durable than any other effort. It can also be weather protected with extra coats of clear sealant.<\/p>\n

Stair Risers?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Getting ready to paint, you would have to measure, tape and then paint, remove tape and touch up. Factor in 1 – 3 days depending on how many stair risers and the complication of your design.<\/p>\n

The homeowners wanted their furniture to be more in keeping with their vacation, shore-front decor.<\/p>\n

The only way to get this subtle glazed finish on these pieces<\/a> was with decorative painting.<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span> Yes and no, depending on the look you want — easier with paint but get more impact with designer walcovering. Plain white paint allows for many colorful shelf accessories and books to shine; whereas, more solid, minimal arrangements work best with highly patterned wallpaper.<\/p>\n

Ceilings?<\/h3>\n

If you’ve ever painted a ceiling you know it can be a back breaker. So why would you want to paint when you can instantly cover and add interest with a mural <\/a>or any subtle design<\/a>?<\/p>\n

Actually, any subtle finish or pattern will do as well.<\/p>\n

Answer:<\/span> Yes, but if you want easy and interest, go with wallpaper, just make sure it is self-adhesive and repositionable; otherwise, you could have a back-breaking mess on your hands with either traditional paste or pre-pasted wallpapers. Also, you need to make sure the wallpaper is lightweight enough that it can adhere without slowly falling down — a disaster. This is why we have Casart Light<\/a> reusable wallcovering.
