She joins us from UVA&#8217;s MS in Commerce program where she currently studies Marketing &amp;\u00a0Management. Here are some of her thoughts as she enters her second week with <a title=\"Casart coverings\" href=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Casart coverings<\/a>:<\/address>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12613\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casartcoverings.com\/casartblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/Casart-11.jpg\" alt=\"Hannah Mattheis, Fall Marketing Intern\" width=\"180\" height=\"240\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>As soon as I interviewed<\/strong><\/span> for the Casart coverings internship, I became instantly passionate about removable wallcoverings. As silly as that sounds, I\u2019m sure most of you can agree that there are sometimes companies and brands that you just immediately feel at home with. Perhaps more than anything, my gut instinct was driven by the passionate women who run, inspire, and breathe life into Casart.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>My first interaction<\/strong><\/span> with Ashley and Deb, Casart\u2019s Marketing Manager, was incredibly positive. As we found mutual interests in everything from interior design and art to Italy and traveling, I felt more and more excited to embark on my new marketing experience. My first <em>personal<\/em> interaction with Ashley was at her charming house in Alexandria, VA \u2013 where I delighted in seeing both Casart coverings and some of Ashley\u2019s hand painted pieces up close. If a house is a reflection of the person (which I believe it can be) than Ashley\u2019s home perfectly reflects the ease, comfort, style, and creativity that both she and Casart demonstrate. If anything, my goal for this internship is to help share and spread the warmth and creativity that Casart coverings represents.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>So far, I\u2019ve found myself getting wonderfully lost<\/strong><\/span> in the work as I spend hours researching companies and bloggers, adding <a title=\"Casart Instagram\" href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/casartcoverings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a> photos, and finding inspiration. As I explained to Ashley early on (through a reference from my favorite novel, Alice in Wonderland) I have a penchant for \u201cfalling down the rabbit hole\u201d when it comes to things I\u2019m passionate about.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>As a M.S. in Marketing and Management student<\/strong><\/span> at UVA\u2019s McIntire, I can\u2019t help but get excited to apply all that I learn in class to my new position with Casart. Nothing quite compares to the thrill and adrenaline rush of hands on experience. More than that, however, I am thrilled to have this opportunity because it allows me the ability to meld my business skills not only with my undergraduate English degree from William &amp; Mary, but also with my innate creativity, artistic eye, and love for interior design. From as young as I can remember, I\u2019ve always loved to draw, imagine, and create \u2013 to have the chance to meld work with play is invaluable.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>Here are a few samples of photographs<\/strong><\/span> I took while abroad for a semester in Florence, Italy. \u00a0My time abroad helped me realize my true passion &#8211; for all things visual. \u00a0As I took classes on Italian\u00a0gardens, Renaissance Art, and Viticulture &amp; Enology (the study of the Winemaking process), I honed my skills in visual and sensory perceptions &#8211; which will hopefully aid me in my present and future marketing careers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12612\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12612\"
