Holiday House-2013, in its 6th year, benefits The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.\u00a0 Earlier this year, the event branched out to the Hamptons and Libby Langdon used her Groovy Gate from her collection for Casart <\/a>to cover the walls of the upstairs hall.\u00a0 Holiday House is unique in that the rooms are not done in a coordinated effort.\u00a0 Each designer is assigned a theme of a specific holiday.\u00a0 Twenty-eight designers rose to the challenge this year.\u00a0 Rikki Snyder<\/a> rose to the occasion and covered ten of her favorite rooms in an ideabook for Houzz.<\/a>\u00a0 I was amazed at how many of those rooms incorporated wallpaper in the design.\u00a0 Here are some examples.<\/div>\n

Mario Buatta celebrated his new book, Mario Buatta: 50 Years of American Interior Decoration<\/a><\/i>, with a mural wallpaper depicting his apartment and added a magnolia leaf garland to the stairs.<\/p>\n

The mural reminds me of Van Gogh’s style.\u00a0 It would have been an easy installation with a custom Casart mural as seen in Jason Oliver Nixon and John Loecke’s Madcap Cottage,<\/a> and just as easy to remove.<\/p>\n
