It’s summer and many of us are planning a beach vacation before it’s over.\u00a0 Elle Decor’s What’s Hot<\/a> paid homage to the beach with Carol Fertig’s Sea Life collection of melamine (how practical is that?) tableware.\u00a0 The colors are great and the price is reasonable. They are certainly the catch of the day!<\/p>\n

One link led to another and I ended at Carol’s website, which is very Fornasetti-<\/a>ish, especially that blue eye.\u00a0 I found the site very interesting and it immediately drew me in to explore her beautiful note cards contained in exquisite boxes, armorials with a tutorial, an entire collection based on dressage and produced in paper, and much, much more.<\/p>\n

We have our own homage to the summer and the sea in our Gulf Coast Mural, <\/a>Crawfish Cotillion <\/a>and Gulf Coast Recovery bags<\/a> and totes along with trompe l’ oeil <\/a>starfish, sand dollar and shells.<\/p>\n
