Elizabeth Mayhew,<\/a> contributing editor for NBC’s Today Show and author of FLIP for Decorating<\/em>, tells a funny story in the Washington Post <\/a>about Al Roker’s dislike of pillows.\u00a0 She wondered if this was true of most men and began collecting feedback from other men.\u00a0 The results-Mayhew concluded men generally are not as fond of pillows as women.\u00a0 I agree with her conclusion and have my own theory as to why that may be so.<\/p>\n

I sometimes think men are uncomfortable with pillows because they don\u2019t know what to do with them.\u00a0 It\u2019s almost as if they view the pillow as either too feminine and frilly or simply as invading their personal \u201cspace\u201d.<\/p>\n

Here are some tips for the ladies to remember about the male mind when convincing men that a decorative pillow is a good thing.<\/p>\n

(a real bargain)<\/p>\n
