October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I suppose that’s good if you aren’t otherwise aware of it every month. There was a transformation moment when I received a beautiful White House/Black Market catalog which is in recognition of the observance. The cover had a lovely shade of pink for the background and featured a single Blue Morpho, Casart Coverings’s logo.

When I turned the catalog over, there was a butterfly composite that reminded me of Casart’s butterflies along with a message about transformation and living through breast cancer-diagnosis, treatment, support, expertise.


As a two-time cancer survivor, I no longer fear cancer because it is no longer unknown. I view cancer as being no different than any other challenge one faces in life. You identify the problem, you learn about it and how best to correct it, you do so and then you move on. It is a learning process just like any of the many we experience in a lifetime. And once you are through it, you will find that you are a better person. You hope that, like the butterfly, you have morphed into a wiser, more beautiful creature with a complete transformation!
