Timeless, smart, chic and understated were words Nancy Talbot, co-founder of Talbots, Inc., used to describe Talbots’ clothing. She died on Sunday, August 30th in Boulder, CO at the age of 89. She and her husband Rudolf opened their first store in Hingham, Mass in 1947 and launched their mail-order business in 1948. In 1973 they sold Talbots to General Mills and Nancy Talbot remained as a vice president until retiring in 1983. Today, there are 586 stores.
Talbots’ latest catalog reflects those same staying qualities, featuring the return of the pant. This was a signature look for Katharine Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Katharine Hepburn wore pants before they became fashionable with other women. She once said “If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun.”

At Casart Coverings, we’ve changed the rules to make wallcovering more fun. In addition to eliminating the mess of traditional wallpaper and the extra cost of hiring an installer, there’s the bonus of being able to easily remove our wallpaper and use it again another time. This is great when moving, changing a look whenever you want or even repurposing wallpaper to cover bookcase backings, stair risers, closet doors, cabinets, tables, trays, you name it! We don’t like to waste wallpaper! And, we’ve made it easy for you to get the most value from your purchase by not wasting it or adding it to the trash heap.
We’ve just introduced new reusable wallpaper designs which include a Faux Padded Headboard in three sizes, Zebrawood, and Architectural Finishes and exciting wallcovering designs for tots, tweens and teens called t3. that can “grow” with your child. You’ll think of all sorts of ways to use the fireflies. I’d love to see it on a ceiling and embellished with iridescent highlights. What a neat thing for a child to see before they go to sleep. Whether you choose to leave it up or remove and use again, Casart wallcovering art is timeless!
